Who's The Man?

A man should be able to slice through the air, to render his environment pervious, just by sheer will, because he is a hero. He knows how to break a mountain, to empty an ocean, to halt the wind in order to save what may appear to be beyond repair. A man can spilt the atmosphere and he can blur the line between visible and invisible just so he can arrive where and when he must so he can save the day. He will sacrifice his comfort, his safety, and his largesse to provide these to others, because a man values the wellbeing of others more than he does his own, and would not want these for himself if others did not have them. A man, however, is not a martyr. Nor is he guilty. He is compassionate but not soft. He is strong but not severe. And while a man is by definition a hero, he is not an attention-seeker. He is also not self-satisfied or smug. He always knows he must improve but he is never self-deprecating. He is easy-going and he is a stone wall. He can give and he can receive. A man is always gracious, and he is never patronizing. He is imperfect in his imperfections. A man is a hero, and is he honest about his love.
